We know the internal drives the external. You can’t build amazing products, ensure customer service excellence, or move with the agility needed if your people are burnt out and feel uninspired.
Engaged employees are 44% more productive than those who feel merely satisfied.
That much is obvious. But what happens when the workforce is exhausted from post pandemic stressors, half a dozen reorgs in half as many years, and a bold mandate to move at breakneck speed. What does a healthy balance look like? Is that balance aligned to board expectations for growth and expansion? Does our narrative to the employee base match our actions and investments in their wellbeing?
Defining, let alone shaping a culture that matches our organizational ambitions, while meeting employee needs is no easy undertaking. And while our ambitions are grand, our goal is not to fully answer these questions over dinner. But we are hoping this will be a starting point to explore some of the cultural challenges that are most top of mind for all of you.
