The Design Gym: Book Club Kick-Off

May 5, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Why a Book Club?

We’ve been hearing for quite some time, interest around the idea of a Book Club.  So here it is, a social point of connection for people who want to be inspired by new material and more importantly, an outlet to share their thoughts.

The Book Club

The Book Club is a small gathering, happening on the first Monday of every month from 6:30pm to 9pm.  The books will cover a range very similar to our classes; from storytelling and sketching, to business model innovation and ethnographic research.

At each meeting the first two hours will be dedicated to debriefing and discussing the book that was just finished, the last 30 minutes will be a short introduction to the next book and socializing.

If this event is sold out please sign up for the waiting list, as that list grows we will reach out to form additional groups.

Important!

If you are attending this event the debriefing session for this book will be on June 2nd, so please make sure that you can make it.

Snacks and drinks will be included.

The first book we’ll be reading starting May 5th is Creativity Inc by Ed Catmull – President of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios

The second book we’ll be reading starting June 2nd is Communicating the New: Methods to Shape and Accelerate Innovation by Kim Erwin – Professor at IIT Institute of Design
