Avoid BS Personas

That’s pretty good advice in general. But with Personas, BS can really dry up a team’s inspiration. Take the time to go through the slides from this great presentation here. And listen to the audio here at the same time.

Personas can easily become plastic, pretend people. By digging a little deeper and using some of the tools from your Understand toolkit, personas can be grouped together and used for more strategic approaches to problem solving.

    How exactly would you use the personas to prioritize your queue?

      That’s a great question! functional personas are a great way to do that – not just who they are, but what their frustrations are. What are your users biggest goals? What are your crucial business needs? The intersection of those are your key flows, your pivotal goals. Prioritizing by most pain or most pleasure or most profit are a good place to start!
